Another lust list

Standard

Because I’m always lusting over beauty products, here is another lust list.

MAYBELLINE COVER STICK CORRECTOR CONCEALER

I needed a concealer the other day and borrowed a friends. I found that it really worked well covering blemishes and dark circles under my eyes, which I seem to always have. [blame the insomnia]

FRUTIQUE PAPAYA EXFOLIATING GEL

Frutique Papaya Enzyme Exfoliating Gel is a gentle exfoliator powered by papaya fruit enzymes that polish away dead skin cells and deep cleanse the skin. It also stimulates cell regeneration for fresher and younger looking skin.

SERGE LUTENS FLEURS d’ORANGER

Serge Lutens Fleurs d’Oranger includes notes of neroli, orange blossom, white jasmine, Indian tuberose, white rose, cumin, wood and musk. . It really is a bold scent. It’s a lot more “grown up” than the usual fragrances I go for but I’ve noticed my style is leaning towards a more grown up feel lately.

COVERGIRL AND OLAY NEW TONE REHAB 2-IN-1 FOUNDATION

The foundation itself is a foundation AND serum.  A serum helps nourish and hydrate the skin.   The Covergirl website says : “COVERGIRL & Olay combine foundation and hydrating serum to cover fine lines and wrinkles and helps hydrate to improve skin tone over time.”

PASSION DANCE BY AVON

Passion Dance is oriental-floral fragrance for women introduced in 2003. It features notes of grapefruit, melon, lotus, jasmine, narcissus, rose, amber, moss and patchouli. The bottle is red, passionate, in line with the name.

L’INSTANT DE GUERLAIN FOR WOMEN

This delicate perfume is in harmony with the citrus honey note, which can be scented from the top all the way to the bottom notes. The perfume opens with fresh citrus notes – mandarin and bergamot as one fragrant composition, while the other one gives out the shine of white flowers – magnolia, ylang-ylang, and sambac jasmine. The sensuality comes later with vanilla, benzoin, and musk, which leave magical intimate trace.

That concludes my lust list for now. There should be another one soon eonough

Jo Malone Wild Bluebells cologne review

Standard

So by now I’m sure most of you know my mild obsession with perfumes. I love them. Whenever I get a chance to walk into Red Square or anywhere else that sells perfumes I’m there. Spraying scents on myself and whoever is with me. I just discovered one this week that I loved…Wild Bluebells by Jo Malone.

It consists of lily of the valley and hyacinth with a little clove, a slightly fruity heart with some deeper florals (jasmine and rose and a clean musk base. [This of course I had to find out from the interwebs.]

When I smell this scent it makes me think of spring and nature. It’s fresh and light. The bottle is a bit boring but it after smelling it you see how it just matches the scent. [Not saying the scent is boring.] It’s a pretty scent without being frilly. It does break the bank at R950 for a 100ml bottle, so I’m going to have to add it to my lust list. *sigh*

I love the advertorial for it, so I had to add it:

Any other fragrances you love let me know. I’m always keen to try new ones.

MAC Mineralize SPF 15 foundation review

Standard

I don’t ever do review type posts but I recently changed foundations and I’m loving my new Mac Foundation. Lately my skin has been very dry. I normally have a combination type skin but have been struggling with dryness this season. I’ve always loved MAC products [my mom has a draw full at home] and decided I’m over all the cheap crap. So off to MAC I went to talk to one of the assistants. The first foundation she tried [not sure the name, was in a square tube] made my skin look flakey. Then she bough out the  Mineralize SPF 15 foundation and it just sat so well on my skin. My skin also feels great since using it. I also purchased the MAC primer so this may also contribute to that. The color is also exactly right, even though it’s medium coverage, which I’ve always struggled to find. I definitely think I’ve found a new foundation that I’m going to stick to.

Angela Lindvall- model of the moment

Standard

I started the model of the moment posts awhile back but haven’t really been keeping up with it. But it’s a new year so let’s try again.

Angela Lindvall is a 32 year old model from America.  This blonde haired, blue eyed beauty was scouted at a local fashion show when she was 14 and signed with IMG. Since then she has appeared on the covers of Elle, Marie Claire, Vogue among others. She’s walked in the Victoria’s Secret fashion shows and modeled for Fendi, Calvin Klein, Christian Dior, Tommy Hilfiger, Chanel, Versace, Gap, Jimmy Choo and DKNY. She is set to be the host of the new fashion reality series “Project Runway: All Stars”, an extension of the popular series “Project Runway. So keep your eye out for her there.

All things pretty and yummy

Standard

I’m in a particularly girly mood tonight. Those who know me know my obsession with Fashion, Makeup, Baking and Interior Design. So I thought I’d do another post of the things I’m loving right now.  Boys, I promise a sports heavy post sometime soon 😉

These are all things I’ve found online. Being an insomniac means many hours browsing all sorts of fashion and design sites. I need a place to put some of my favs other than repinning them on Pinterest.

Happy looking 🙂
